Detention and demurrage charges

Import demurrage & detention calculation is applicable starting from 1 August 2013 (discharge date). Starting from 1 August 2013 port storage is paid to the terminal directly.

For merchant haulage:

1) “Combined Demurrage and Detention Invoice” (in case of exceeded free equipment usage days).

Dry – 12 days; Reef – 5 days.

New combined import demurrage and detention rates for DRY containers (subject to port storage):

Export combined demurrage and detention calculations starting from 1 August 2013

For Ukraine and transit cargo export detention (Charge for container usage for the period "pick-up empty - last gate-in full") freetime for Dry– 14 calendar days, for REEF – 5 calendar days.

Cases when export idle detention fee is applied.

Charge is applied when you take containers for export and then reject usage. For example  you wrote that you take container MAEU12345679 20’DV under your exp bkg since 2-Oct-2012 and we confirm this. On 7-Oct-2012 you reject this usage and return container to terminal/depot. So idle usage was 5 days  and invoice 50 USD (5 days * 10 USD) will be issued.

Same is applied for containers you have taken using drop-off and then rejected.

Carrier Haulage: (Exports & Imports)

Free truck waiting time – 48 running hours (irrespective of holidays and weekends).      
Day 3 onwards – USD 80/150 per truck per dry/reefer container/day for local haulages,
USD 150/250 per truck per dry/reefer container/day for transit to Russia, Belarus, 
USD 100 per genset per day.          
Free truck waiting time at port until custom’s formalities completion – 24 running hours
(irrespective of holidays and weekends). Day 2 onwards – USD 75 per truck per day.
